HI I'M BEKTAS
I'm an industrial designer based in Istanbul, Turkey. I graduated from Gazi University’s Department of Industrial Design in 2023, and currently, I reside in Istanbul. As an industrial designer specialized in transportation design, I combine my creativity and technical expertise to contribute to a wide range of projects.
Throughout my education, I had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills I acquired to real-world scenarios. During my graduation project at Hidromek Design Studio and my internship, I gained firsthand experience in understanding the realities of industrial design. Later, at Otokar, I worked on interior and exterior trim designs for vehicles. These experiences not only enhanced my proficiency in transportation design but also provided me with a deep understanding of the industry's dynamics.
Throughout my career, I have continuously honed my skills, particularly in vehicle design, product development, illustration, 3D design, digital painting, and surface modeling. As an industrial designer, I offer my services in these areas, focusing on the entire design process from the initial concept stage to production and even considering the product's end-of-life cycle. For me, design is not just about creating aesthetic and functional objects; it’s about designing with a human-centered approach while also considering environmental sustainability.
My design philosophy is centered on how a product is not only perceived visually but also how it is produced, how it is used, and even how it feels. This holistic approach allows me to view each project from a unique perspective and continuously strive for excellence. In the future, I aim to develop innovative projects in the field of industrial design that not only enhance human life but also support environmental sustainability.

DESIGN PROCESS
In my approach to design, I follow a comprehensive process that takes a product from concept to final realization. Here are the steps involved:
Agreement and Alignment: The first step in the design process involves clarifying the client’s needs and defining the project requirements through a mutual agreement. This stage sets the foundation for a successful collaboration.
Research Phase: A thorough research phase is crucial for a successful design. At this stage, the target audience, market trends, user needs, and technical requirements are deeply analyzed and studied.
Sketching Phase: Based on the research findings, initial ideas are brought to life through sketches. Design concepts take shape through hand-drawn illustrations, exploring different approaches.
3D Modeling: The best ideas from the sketches are developed into detailed 3D models in a digital environment. These models help visualize the physical attributes of the design and clarify the details.
Presentation: The developed 3D models and design concepts are presented to the client for feedback. Based on this feedback, final adjustments are made, and the project is refined.
Color, Material, and Finish (CMF): The aesthetic and tactile qualities of the design are finalized in this stage through the selection of colors, materials, and finishes. This stage defines the product's final appearance and feel.

Prototyping: To test the functionality and ergonomics of the design, physical prototypes of the selected concepts are produced. These prototypes are used to evaluate the design’s real-world performance.
Development: Based on the feedback from the prototypes, necessary improvements are made to the design. The product is then prepared for the production phase and undergoes final checks.
Final Product: After all these processes, the final product is manufactured and ready to be launched into the market. This marks the culmination of a long design journey.
